Events plug-in automatically displays on Events page after activating

Hi there,

I recently activated the Events Calendar plugin. We are not certain that we are going to use it, but are considering changing our events page of our website to an events list created through this plugin. However, when I activated the plugin, the events page on the front end was immediately changed to include an events calendar. Due to the fact that I am hoping to simply create a draft events page using this plugin and then decide whether or not we are going to use it, I cannot have the front end of my website changing automatically upon activation.

How can I practice using this plugin without changing the events page of my website?
