Events Page with Template Settings

Hi,

I am using a template, where I can set a custom background image and other stuff. All this gets ignored, when I set the “events” page to the same slug.

Is there a simple way to combine both, without using a shortcode? Because this produces multiple versions of the same content.

Hi Felix.

I think the best approach here is to use the tribe_events shortcode and then you could request a new feature to remove the auto-generated tribe_events custom post type archive view to avoid duplicate content (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.

This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
