Events on calendar linked to blog post

Is there a way to have event on the calendar linked to a blog post instead of the typical event post? I ask because on some pages i want to have a blog slider similar to mfj.semremedy.com has under the slider

That functionality is not built in to our plugin. However, you could use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/ to manage that for you.
