MemberSorry to hear you are hitting up against some difficulties here. That’s always frustrating but please note we cannot guarantee responding any more quickly than within 24hrs of a thread being posted (and that’s through the working week).
I do appreciate you taking the time to deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme: can you confirm if that had any impact on this? Could you also try visiting the Settings β Permalinks admin screen – you don’t have to change anything, just visit it – and let me know if that resolves this issue?
Last but not least, if none of the above gets us any further forward please include a copy of your system information as provided at the bottom of the Events β Help admin screen.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for your response Barry. I did try deactivating all other plugins without affect. Also I tried it in the default theme and I still got the same issue. It was fine until I installed the pro version.
I have tried the permalinks suggestion and this doesnt seem to make any difference.
Thanks again for you support.

ParticipantHi,
I also am having this problem. I have purchased the pro version and did not even try the plugin before I purchased the plugin, so I’m not sure if it worked before the pro version or not. I did read the startup documentation and watched the video. I noticed that the versions had to match…Regular event pro is at 3.3.1 and the pro is 3.3. However I couldn’t find a 3.3 version of the free version. Could this be the problem? Can I download a 3.3.1 version of the Pro?
I am adding events, but none of them show up in the calendar…
It seems they all have thier own pages, but don’t show up on the month view, or week view. When I click on “upcoming events” I get a 404 error. What should I do?

MemberHi nickivasquez,
Though it may look like the same problem initially it could easily have a different root cause in your case. For that reason, please create a new thread of your own – you can then also share your site’s URL in confidence (when you open the thread) and also indicate what troubleshooting steps you have completed, if any.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Barry do you have any advice for me? I would really appreciate some guidance with this as I need to make the events viewable today. Thanks.

MemberHi nicleics: yes, can you reply to my above questions (from when I first replied to you)? I’ll repeat them below π
- I do appreciate you taking the time to deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default, unmodified theme: can you confirm if that had any impact on this?
- Could you also try visiting the Settings β Permalinks admin screen β you donβt have to change anything, just visit it β and let me know if that resolves this issue?
- Last but not least, if none of the above gets us any further forward please include a copy of your system information as provided at the bottom of the Events β Help admin screen.
Thanks!

MemberHi @nicleics: please disregard my last post! I’ll review the information you provided and update you again shortly – unfortunately your reply for some reason didn’t show up on ‘our’ side of the forum (I only noticed it was there when I flipped to public view). Please accept our apologies.

ParticipantThank you – I await your guidance

MemberI don’t see anything useful in that information unfortunately. It’s all the more puzzling that it persists when you revert to a default, unmodified theme with no other plugins running.
For clarity – can you confirm that when you tried the above steps you also tried my step involving a refresh of the permalink rules? If so and if that yielded no positive result, I would have to wonder if this is either due to something in your database or else an environmental issue.
Would it be possible for you to install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory, and initially install only our plugins (core and PRO, but nothing else) and see if you can replicate this with some test events? Assuming that works without issue, basically try the troubleshooting process in reverse – and start introducing all of the components that you have on the live site.
The idea here would be to figure out if the problem might be environmental (if you hit problems right off the bat with this new installation that would certainly indicate something along these lines) or if it might still be a conflict, and/or be bound to entries in your database.
Thanks!

ParticipantI tried deactivating all the other plugins again with no luck. In fact it’s messed a lot of the site up which is incredibly frustrating. A lot of data has been lost because of this. I know it’s a pro events plugin problem because the standard one was just fine. Since i have upgraded AND PAID all the event pages are blank??!?!
To be honest I’m not happy or confident about installing a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory…..

If you visit that link you’ll see that the page is blank and at the top on the browser tab it says ‘page not found’

ParticipantI have flushed the permalinks again with no luck.
