I have my Events page on a test site (http://conexionagenciadigital.com/momxpress/eventos/) working Ok. But my theme (ClassifiedEngine https://www.enginethemes.com/themes/classifiedengine/) uses a mobile version (not responsive, but another different version) for mobile devices and here I cannot get the events plugin to work, it just throws me to index.php

The theme has a “mobile” folder within the theme files which has the corresponding files for the mobile version. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

    Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having with your theme. We can try to help out, but for the most part theme or plugin compatibility issues are beyond the support we can provide.

We do try to help narrow down the issue, but as you point out the theme creates a different mobile site there is not much we can do.

We do not have access to the theme and so not sure how it is setup to fix the conflict.

Can you try contacting the theme developer and see if that have some coding to help resolve this?

Let me know and we can try to help out if the theme developer gives you some coding.

    Thanks

    Hello Brian,

I managed to create a new Events page for mobile (/events-mobile) where I use a page template and tribe_get_events() function to get a list of upcoming events. This is working Ok now.

The problem is, when I click on a single event, it takes me to …/events/this-event-name but I get the same problem, the theme doesn’t find the right file. Do you have any ideas to get this to work?

Sorry not much I can suggest here since the theme has it’s built in mobile system. If it is possible you could try shutting down the mobile there just for the Events Calendar Pages, but that coding would have to come from the theme developer.

That is about the only way short of doing some major coding to get around this feature of the theme.

Ok since you marked this answered. I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic on the forum and we can help you out. Also if the theme developer comes back with more information and you have some questions about it please create a new post and reference this one and we can go from there.

    Thanks
