ParticipantI have upgrade to the PRO version in order to use the map view.
Since upgrading, the map view now returns no search results. I can only see my events if I switch to month or calendar views. I also am not seeing the options for the additional views the in the dropdown toggle, only the same views that were there with the standard version (month, calendar, day).
Please help, this is incredibly important. We are supposed to launch the site tomorrow, and this was the last step (incorporating the map view). Everything was working ok with the free version.
I have not seen any errors in the debug, although it says it is using 5,138,360 bytes of memory. That seems incredibly high?

ParticipantAdditionally, when I switch the twenty-fourteen theme, it shows no results at all on my event page or homepage ( I used events rocket to display it on the home). Even deactivating and setting the events page normal, this issue still persists with the PRO version. Please help.

ParticipantEDIT: The view options in the dropdown have been resolved, but I am having the same issue that others have posted, where the map view loads in Africa, and there are not events found. Switching to list or month view and all the events are there.
I have not found any issues running wp_debug or the Debug Bar plguin. I have switched themes, turned off all other plugins, etc., and nothing has resolved this issue.
Please help, otherwise I don’t know what I just paid for the PRO version for, and would certainly like a refund as this is not useable to me at all.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues. I can help you out.
I did not see Map view active so I could not see it.
But if you have Event Rocket active and you visit a venue in the admin and are their coordinates in the meta box?
The map view relies on those coordinates so that is the first place to start and check those.
Let me know and we can go from there.
Thanks

ParticipantHi,
I turned if off earlier to concentrate on what was working correctly. I have turned PRO version back on, and set it display the map. Can you please check again now? It just isn’t returning any data at all. Additionally, the search by location does not work either, even when changing the view. If input location data (like a city or state) into the search field, that also does not return any results.
Maps are working fine on the individual event pages, although they are not displaying the google map link, even though I have that option turned on.
In the admin, none of the venues currently have coordinates, just the address imported from facebook events. Also I should mention that even when I deactivated Event Rocket, the map view was still not working on the events page. Please advise, thanks.

MemberOk thanks for the info.
The maps on the individual pages just use the address to show the map.
The Map view uses the coordinates in the venues to build the view. So if those are empty then that is why the Map View does not work.
If you go to Events > Settings > General tab at the bottom is there an option to regenerate the coordinates or geolocation for the venues?
If you resave a venue does the coordinates show up?
Let me know.
Thanks

ParticipantOkay, it did give me an option to regenerate geolocation info for 18 of them, which I did. However, they still do not have any coordinates.
If I go into an individual venue, changed the title, and resaved, it still showed the same coordinates of 0, 0. They all show 0, 0. After doing this, a pin appeared for that venue, but it is at 0,0 in the ocean off Africa.

MemberOk are you on shared hosting? It is possible your server ip address reached its limit when connecting to Google and now it is no longer returning that information.
It is possible to manually add those coordinates from Google as they have it available in the maps when viewing an address. That might help you get some of these in right now.

ParticipantThat’s possible. It is a shared hosting account.
How can I tell if that’s the issue? Can you explain a bit more? What would be a normal amount of memory to be used? This site will potentially receive 100s to 1000s of visits a day. Not insanely huge numbers but certainly a significant amount. Is the number of venues being requested an issue? Thanks.

ParticipantAlso, I’m not sure I understand why all the coordinates would be 0,0 either, since the address are clearly being set up correctly.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. We purchased the PRO version specifically to use the map view.

MemberThe coordinates come from Google, we have a script that sends the address to them and they return the coordinates. There is a limit by ip address on being able to do that so sometimes on shared hosting that limit gets hit.
So 0,0 is there, because the script did not get a response from Google possibly because the limit was hit.
We have a way to check the url, but it is still a beta so please follow the instructions in the private post below to see if that is indeed the case.

MemberOk so you are able to connect. So that narrows this down.
The search function does use the coordinates.
The coordinates for the address are only updated when an address changes.
Please try removing the postal code, updating the venue, and then adding it back, updating again, and seeing if that gets the correct coordinates and not 0,0.
If that does not work please include the address you are trying to use in your next post and I can try from my end.
Thanks
