ParticipantHello,
Our previously-created events are not respecting daylight savings time (i.e. showing up as one hour earlier, and showing with the Timezone of PST instead of PDT).
I have checked all of the following:
– The Linux server timezone is set to America/Los_Angeles anddateis displaying PDT
– The php.ini file is set to America/Los_Angeles
– The WordPress General settings are set to America/Los ANgeles
– Event Settings > General > Timezones settings are set to use the local time zone and display it
– The event itself has the correct timezone setting (Los Angeles)The time is entered and displays correctly in the admin edit page for the event, but on the page itself and in the widget that shows upcoming events, it shows as one hour earlier than input, and with PST (not PDT) as the timezone.
Please help! This is very confusing for the people wanting to attend our events.

MemberHey Robert,
Thanks for reaching out to us on this! Unfortunately you are being affected by a known bug 🙁
A fix for this is being prepared and it should ship in next maintenance release 4.1.1. For now can you try to change the WordPress Timezone to the UTC offset corresponding? Like UTC -7, instead of the city named timezone (Los Angeles).
Please give that a try and let me know if it solves the issues,

ParticipantHey Nico,
Thanks for letting me know. Looking forward to 4.1.1 being released!

ParticipantHi Nico,
Unfortunately, I did just what you suggested:
change the WordPress Timezone to the UTC offset corresponding? Like UTC-7, instead of the city named timezone (Los Angeles).
And cleared our caches, etc. However, the calendar widget on our homepage still shows everything one hour earlier. Please advise.

MemberHey Robert,
Thanks for following-up!
However, the calendar widget on our homepage still shows everything one hour earlier.
Just the widgets are showing the time incorrectly? The calendar itself works as expected?

ParticipantSadly, no. In the calendar view and in the event detail pages, the events are all showing one hour earlier than scheduled. So, if we click “Edit page” we see the start date field set to e.g. 7pm but on the page view itself it shows as 6pm.
I have enabled displaying the timezones, and the timezones now all incorrectly show PST instead of PDT as well. So, it is clear that ECP is misunderstanding that Los Angeles is currently on PDT.

ParticipantThanks, with the release of 4.1.1 I can confirm that times are now displaying correctly. In the case of one repeating event, we had to re-save the event to get it to show up correctly.
