ParticipantI cannot get the aggregator to import all the events from the target URL. This is important because the target URL is a live site and the client is having us build a new version on a new URL that we will then forward to once they’re ready to start marketing it. We have tried many paid and unpaid options to get the entirety of the events from the target site to the staging site and it’s stopping at ~300 events. Is this a known issue or is there a workaround of some kind?

ParticipantThis has been happening to me as well. Sometimes they all import but many come in as drafts even though they are published (but not all), and other times they simply do not import and I have to manually add the other events. Luckily it’s not 300+ events you are having to work with.
Do some of the events not list the year in the date? I have noticed some of mine do not and they are the ones that don’t import, while others do.

ParticipantI’ve noticed that sometimes it doesn’t bring in the event details with the event, like year, etc. Other times it changes the dates of the event to the date it was imported. I now have hundred of events that show as being on August 1 @ 12pm, haha…
Any insight on how to make the two calendars match would be awesome as we are hoping to start the marketing push in the next 2 weeks.

MemberHey Staci and Drew,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing.
Our “Other URL” import option is officially in Beta phase: at this moment it is quite stable and functional, but it’s not yet complete: our development team is still working to improve this feature.
In the mean time, if you wish to migrate your events from main site to staging site (and vice versa), you can use the WordPress Import and Export tools. You will find further information about this in the following article:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-wordpress-export-tools-to-migrate-events-content/
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else and I’ll be happy to assist 🙂
Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantWe have tried both the built in WordPress export shown in another thread as well as this $250 paid option to no avail: http://www.wpallimport.com/order-now/wp-all-export/. Also tried manually exporting the tables from one DB to the other with no success.

MemberHi Staci,
I’m sorry to know that this is not working for you as expected.
Can you please send us a copy of your database in a private reply? This way I can verify from here why you are unable to export/import your events and help you with that!
Regards,
Patricia

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
