Events List Widget / "Hide if no upcoming events" setting doesn’t work

Hello! As of a recent upgrade, the Events List Widget no longer respects the “Hide this widget if there are no upcoming events” setting from the widget settings.

It hides it completely regardless of if it is checked or not. My desired functionality is to show the “There are no upcoming events at this time.” message if applicable like it used to.

I have confirmed this issue in a fresh localhost install of 4.7.2 with the 2015 theme.

Please let me know if you need any more info!

Thanks for reaching out and sorry about this bug.

A fix is already being worked on, an if all goes according to plan the fix will come this or next week, so please hang in there.

I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released. If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and reference this one.

Hello!

I wanted to share the news that we released a Maintenance Release today that should include a fix to restore the functionality of the Show only if upcoming events option.
