Events List Widget – Exclude event in progress?

Hello!

In the Events List Widget, I notice that the first event in the list is either the next upcoming event or the one which is actually in progress.

Displaying the current event which is happening right now is no good from a ticket sales point of view, since it has started 🙂

Is there a way to exclude an event which is in progress, so it always starts with the next one, instead?

Hope that makes sense. I have a child theme if it helps?

The answer is yes, this is totally feasible. You’ll have to do a customization on the event list widget.
Fortunately, you can want to read our Themer’s guide to get started on the right foot.

Once that’s done, you should read the following post to be able to tweak things to your liking.
