Events List View – Description needs expanding in Avada

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I’ll raise a thread on Avada too but might be an issue you guys have seen before.

I’m fairly certain it’s due to my Avada Theme but I don’t get any event descriptions in the event list view. It looks like the screenshot attached. How can I expand it out so I at least get a 2-3 lines per event description!

Hey Kieran,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Our views here rely on the default excerpt functions available with WordPress. It’s possible that there could be custom code within the theme (or child theme) to shorten the excerpt length using the “excerpt_length” filter. Also, if you have any plugins that modify or extend the excerpt it could be a conflict at play there. If so, you can try deactivating to see if that helps here.

Hi Josh

Whops! I’ve just noticed a setting in my Avada Theme Blog Options which was causing this. I’ve changed the setting and it’s working now. One thing though the hyperlinks dont work from the main event page but they do when I go to the single event page.

I can’t see any more settings in my theme options which would be causing this. Any idea on how to fix or is that the design of the plugin?
