"Events In" not working and Google Maps not showing up

The “Events In” link does not appear to be working properly in the upper right.

I have enabled “Enable Google Maps” checkbox on the backend, under Events –> Settings and I am seeing the box where the map should show… however, the map does not appear.

I am using the “Inovado” theme and both issues appear to be theme related as the above features both work with “Twenty Fourteen”. Any assistance or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I apologize for the compatibility issues you’re facing with your theme. Unfortunately there isn’t a whole lot of support that we can provide for theme related conflicts but hopefully I can help to get you pointed in the right direction.

Typically, with map related issues, the problem results from multiple attempts to load the map. You can test this by looking at the console (https://developer.chrome.com/devtools) and noting any javascript errors. This can be driven by the theme or another plugin. Ensure that any potential settings within your theme for including google maps are disabled. Additionally, ensure that any plugins that may potentially be including maps are also set properly or deactivated.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response but hopefully this was able to get you pointed in the right direction.
