Events in blog posts

I am using the free version and considering purchasing the PRO version. have checked the box to “Include Events in Main Blog Loop” and it works great on my blog page the events are displayed. But, I would also like to show the 4 most recent blog posts and events on my home page. Using my theme’s options to display “Recent Posts” shows my recent blog posts but not the events. Is there a way to display the 4 most recent blog posts and events?

Thanks for taking the time to reach out–happy to hear that you’re considering making the move to Events Calendar PRO! 🙂 The option to include calendar events in the main blog loop only overwrites the main blog loop and doesn’t affect other places where blog posts are called, such as the “recent posts” homepage area on your theme. You can easily fix this by modifying your theme’s code to include the post type tribe_events as well as the default posts. Doing this should pull in both events and blog entries and display the most recent four posts of both types.
