    Hi,

    I am experiencing some issues when trying to navigate to the month of September 2014 on my calendar. I am able to navigate to all other months on my calendar without any problems at all. However, if I select the month of September from either the search bar or the month links above / below the calendar, the events don’t load – the search progress wheel just keeps spinning and nothing happens. This also occurs in list and week view, but day view works fine. If I access September directly from the URL – http://www.norfolkfoodanddrinkfestival.co.uk/events/2014-09/ – the page loads fine, you just cant navigate to it using the search bar or links.

    I have tried in several browsers and the issue is occurring on all of them. Are you able to suggest anything that may be causing this issue?

    Hello afinterecomms,

    I’m not entirely certain, but I believe the ajax is failing just because of the number of events you have in September! It definitely seems heavier than other months and the site seems generally slow.

    If you open up the javascript console before clicking ‘September’, you’ll notice that the ajax request fails. If you had access to the server logs, it might be able to specifically tell you what is going wrong.

    Hi Casey,

    I hid all of the events from the calendar and added them back one by one and found the event that was causing the issue – I had added a button into the event text to enable people to download the event invitation and that was causing the issue – when I replaced this with a text link it solved the problem.

    I’m glad it wasn’t the number of events that was the issue as I have loads more that need adding!
