Is there a way to expose an iCal feed of my site event calendar, so my users can subscribe via an iCal-compatible calendar system? And to take it one step further, is there a way to generate iCal feeds based on categories?

Find the “Export Events” button at the bottom of your calendar view page(s). Examples from our demo site:
