    Please help!
Events have stopped appearing on http://www.suttonandbarlavinton.co.uk and the option to add events from top menu bar of Admin has ceased.
Events dont show as a menu item on the vertical bar either.
On the Plugin page I egt a message To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.
When I try to install I get a message that the Events Calendar folder is already present and unable to install.
    What should I do.
    Many thanks for help
    Robert

Good evening Robert and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the events disappearing on you. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

It appears that the Events Calendar (free) plugin is inactive on your website for some reason.

In case you did not know, when running the Events Calendar Pro, you still need to have the Events Calendar (free) plugin active.

In other words Pro extends the free version. It does not replace it.

If you are having reactivating the Events Calendar, you can simply delete it and reinstall it from scratch (no events will be lost).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

I have delete Pro and Short code plugins.
The Basic Plugin does not appear in the WordPress list. When I try to install it I get the message
Installation failed: Destination folder already exists!
So I have still got the problem!
    /* deleted for security

    Good evening Robert,

I am sorry there are still issues at play with the basic plugin.

Thank you for the login invitation. Alas, for several reasons, including liability, our policy does not allow me to log in your site.

Here is what you will need to do:

    1. Deactivate all the Events Calendar plugins
    2. Using your FTP client or the File manager in your CPanel interface, navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ on your site.
    3. Look for the-events-calendar folder and delete it.
    4. Once the files are deleted, you should be able to reinstall the Events Calendar Basic and activate it.
    5. After that, you will be able to reactivate all of our other plugins.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
