    Hi!
My problem is, when I switch the language the available tickets are 0
    Here is the example:
    Default language:
    https://www.paintandfun.hu/esemenyek/

    Change to English:
    https://www.paintandfun.hu/en/events/

    You will see the difference.

Szia Paint and Fun és üdv a Help Desknél!

I’ll keep this in English so others can benefit from the information as well. In case during the process you feel that you cannot describe something in English, feel free to do that in Hungarian. 😉

I see you are using Polylang to manage languages. Our plugins do not officially support Polylang yet. Based on our initial tests it does work with the basics but we haven’t started working on a full integration / compatibility.

Also on the Polylang page they say that Polylang Pro is needed for TEC integration.

You could probably adjust the number of places manually in the database, or by editing the event / ticket information, but I believe that if someone books a place / buys a ticket, that will probably not sync between the languages. Needs to be tested though.

We do provide compatibility between WPML and TEC / EC PRO, but Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus are not fully compatible yet. This is on our long term roadmap (hopefully we manage this year) but I don’t have any fixed launch date on this yet.

So, what you can try is what I recommended: adjust the number of places manually in the database, or by editing the event / ticket information for the English language. Then make a test purchase and see if the value syncs.

Hope this helps a bit. Let me know if you have further questions.

    Üdv,
    András

    Hi András!
    Thanks for the answer!
So, do you mean when I start to use WPML the problem would be partially sold?
The biggest problem is not the translation. At the moment we need to manage tickets for both languages. This can never be correct.

    Szia,

No, unfortunately the problem wouldn’t be solved, since we don’t have compatibility between WPML and ET / ET+, I’m sorry.

What you can try as an alternative is using rather WooCommerce products as tickets, totally independent of the ticket products.

WooCommerce is quite compatible with WPML and also syncs the stock between the languages. (I’m managing a multilingual WooCommerce store, so I know this works. 😉 ) You will then need to find a way to show the remaining stock on the event page.

Might be that Polylang can also do that with their WooCommerce extension.

I remember hearing about a user making ET and ET+ somewhat compatible with WooCommerce, but I don’t know that details. I will try to look that up and share with you if I find it.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Szia Kornél,

Meanwhile I also reached to one of my colleagues on the ET / ET+ and WPML compatibility question. Here is what he replied:

In the meantime, you could get it to partially work, but this is unsupported.
To achieve that, you will need:
    1. WooCommerce multilingual
    2. Some manual intervention
After creating the ticket AND saving the event, head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.
Once you are there, you should see several cleanup buttons. I would recommend:
    1. Clearing WPML cache
    2. Using the button that forces language assignment to items (which is what is creating the issue). This can also be accomplished by deactivating and reactivating WPML.
Your ticket will now magically appear.

The only downside is that the tickets you create in other languages are not really translations of the initial ticket. They are completely independent new tickets. (And because of this they will likely not be in sync. – Andras)

Hope this helps a bit too.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Thanks for the Answer. Sorry to say that, but this is an unbelievable bad solution. I would never recommend for others to buy this Theme and plugins.

    Hi Kornél,

While I understand your frustration about the plugin functionality – we don’t develop themes – I would like to point out again that for the time being only The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are WPML compatible.

Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus are not officially compatible with WPML, nor do we claim so. It is on our long term roadmap to get these compatible as well.

This however does not influence the core functionality of the ticketing plugins.

Let me know if you have any more questions before we close this topic.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
