    Hi,

Is it in some way possible to sell tickets using events tickets plus, for events that should be taxed using multiple VAT categories.

My customer sells cooking workshops which have different vat for the food (low vat) and for the actualal lesson (high vat), so actually it should be a bundled woocommerce product beeing sold throug the ticket.

Does ETP support woorcommerce bundled products or is there another way to accomplish this?

    Hi Remy!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.

Taxes are all managed on the WooCommerce side. Event Tickets Plus currently only supports Simple product types, so you should bear that in mind when modifying the ticket product settings on the WooCommerce side.

I’m not really sure I understand what you mean by this. Are you referring to the WooCommerce Product Bundles extension > https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/ ?

    Let me know about this.

    Thanks,
    Victor

Yes, i was referring to that addon. Could it be possible to change the product that events tickets plus is creating ‘in the background’ into a woocommerce product bundle (manually)?

    Hi Remy!

    Thanks for clearing that out.

Yes, you can manually edit the ticket product in WooCommerce.

I’m not sure how that plugin works, but WooCommerce extensions do generally work with our plugins. I do suggest your setup a dev/staging site where you can test things out and see if it works as expected before making the changes in the live site.

I hope it helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

I have the same issue, but with a twist. A corporate client need also to clearly communicate to their customers how much of the tickets total value (excluded tax) is for food 15%tax, for conference25%tax, for transport 10%tax, hotel 25%tax. From the customers (company) perspective this bundled ticket also has different deductible parts. For instance, the conference part IS deductible, food IS NOT. So in theroy it would be preferrable that the order should be split up in the different parts, with its amount, and tax classes/amount. From the participants perspective, the company did pay for the ticket, but costs related to food and accomodation/hotel should be clearly communicated so that costs for each part can be dealt with for making travel invoices between the participant and their company. This is really important for corporate use, but I understand that it is not that important for private use. Anyone have a good workaround? The quickfix I just to include information/description and show that descriptive text on the order/ticket as general information. The correct way is to have a bundled product, with bells and whistles, processed in the woocommerce cart/tax system as I would normally do. Also to have the clients revenue reporting totally correct.

    Hi Ronny!

Thanks for chiming in with this and for letting us know about that case.

I do not recall other users having such configuration with taxes on their tickets, but I do understand the situation for corporate use.

We can totally leave this open so other users can chime in and offer suggestions for this.

I did find the following article on how to set up taxes in WooCommerce that might be of help > https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/setting-up-taxes-in-woocommerce/

Do let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Hi,

I tested this today by installing the Woocommerce products bundle plugin (https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/).

I created a ticket via the events tickets plus and then modified the ticket in Woocommerce under products, by changing the type from “Simple” into “Product Bundle”. Then I added two simple products to my bundle, one with low VAT and the other with high VAT; changed the visibility of the new simple products to “hidden”. I adjusted also the price of the bundle (set to 0); the prices and the VAT categories of the sub-products as I want them to be.

After buying a ticket, the bundle shows up in the cart with the resp. sub-products.

So this seems to work like expected !

    Thanks,

    Remy

    Hey Remy!

Great to know you could make it work as you expected! Thanks for sharing what you’ve tested so others can benefit from this.

Since you marked this Resolved I’ll go ahead and close it. Feel free to open a new topic if anything comes up and we’d be happy to help.

    Best,
    Victor
