    Hi, I am using Events Calendar Pro and about a week ago most of my events disappeared. I had approx. 1200 events entered and then about a week ago it was down to 240 events. I have tried to restore my database a couple of times and the events show up but they disappear again within a few minutes. Can someone explain what may be happening and a way to make changes so that I can restore these events. Thank you!

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues here. I can try to help troubleshoot this with you.

    I have not seen this before.

    Are these events in the past or future that are being removed?

    Are these recurring events that are being removed?

    Is there any pattern that you noticed?

    Let me know and we can go from here.

    Hi Brian, Thanks for the reply! These events are in the past and most of them are recurring. This happened once before about a month ago and we thought it was a fluke occurrence so we manually entered the events back. Then it happened again about a week ago. When I restore the database from a backup the events show up again on the edit.php?post_type=tribe_events page (for a couple of minutes). As you refresh the page, the event count continues to drop.

    Hi,

    What are you settings for here:

    Events > Settings > General Tab > Clean up recurring events after

    If you uncheck that does it stop?

    This setting is set at 24 months. There is no checkbox, just a place to enter the number of months. Should I leave it blank or extend it out for more months? Also do you know if there is a way to edit my backup so that when I restore the database it doesn’t change this setting back? Thank you!

    Oh yeah my bad I got crossed thinking of the setting above.

    Yeah set it to something much higher.

    You can search for this setting in the database backup:

    recurrenceMaxMonthsBefore

    Then set it from 24 to a higher value.
