ParticipantHey there,
I’m using the Events Calender as well as the Yoast SEO Plugin. The recent problem I have, is as following:
All pages (single event, Overview, Calender-Widget) are working properly. But when I try to open a list with one eventcategory (i.e. …/events/kategorie/xy –> I’m using a german translation) I get a blank page.
The problem doesn’t occur after deactivating the SEO-Plugin. I read, there have been multiple problems with these Plugins, but none discribed this error. Can anyone help me out?
Regards,
Martin

MemberHi Martin,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties.
I haven’t actually heard of this specific problem, either, but visited the URL you provided and event categories appear to work correctly – is that because you have deactivated your SEO plugin – or has the problem been resolved some other way?

ParticipantThat’s right, I deactivated it through the day, but will reactivate it for the next couple of days so you can check again.

MemberOK, so it looks like things are breaking in some critical way when the <title> tag is created.
Would it be possible for you to temporarily turn on WP_DEBUG and see if on visiting an event category page you see any useful error messages? In this situation, it may be you need to use your browser’s view source option to see them.
Alternatively, if you are comfortable doing so, you may be able to find the error in your server’s error logs.

MemberSo when you say that the error you quoted occurs on the main page, do you mean the main events page? Or the main page of your blog?
I’m guessing in either case it’s not directly related to the problem you experience on event category pages. It is a bit puzzling that you don’t see any errors in that particular scenario; I wonder even if that suggests we aren’t looking so much at a plugin conflict as something like the available memory being exhausted – and perhaps that just happens to occur when our plugins and Yoast’s are enabled.
Could you share your system information (which can be found in the Events → Help screen)? Can you also confirm if the problem occurs when you have a default theme enabled and no plugins but our own and WordPress SEO?
