We sell kayaking trips in Alaska. Some tours are one day, some are three days, and some are a week in duration. We want browsers to view a full page event calendar (In our example events are kayak tours) to see what tours are available each month. A second goal would be to sell tickets (or trip deposits in our case) with woo Ecommerce. Is this possible with Events Calendar or are there better solutions elsewhere?

Based on your description The Events Calendar + WooTickets is perfect. You can certainly try setting up a text calendar with your events using the free version of The Events Calendar. That will give you access to the List and Month views. Perhaps one of those is exactly what you had envisioned for your “full page calendar”. If not, also checkout Events Calendar PRO, as it includes some other views that are very useful.
WooTickets adds purchasable tickets to each events. You can specify the details of each ticket like its cost. You can even have multiple ticket types for the tour if needed. Then when someone clicks on that Event/Tour, they will see an area where they can add tickets to their WooCommerce shopping cart. From their WooCommerce takes over and allows them to checkout.
