Events Calendar View Feature Request

Our calendar has more than three entries for most days of the month, so each day ends with a link to view all. Instead of that link taking the user to the list view page, we’d like a pop-up window showing all events for that day formatted like the calendar. In other words, just expand that day but keep the calendar view readily available. I realize this changes an existing behavior, so it would most likely need to be implemented as an optional behavior.

Thank you for taking the time to help us try and improve our plugin. It is very much appreciated. User insight like this helps us to create a better plugin, which is the entire goal!

The best way to suggest a feature for our plugin is by putting it on our uservoice page. This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

One thing I will note, we try and avoid popups when ever possible just like WordPress does. The reason is that they have strong negative connotations with a lot of users. Popups are frequently abused by advertisement companies or “Like our site” boxes, and many users have come to resent them in general. Furthermore they do not work well with the browser controls, for instance the back button does not get rid of them, and so a user has to scout for a close button that is generally unique in location/style to each site. They thus rob the user of a sense of control. That is why whenever possible we like to implement speedy ajax requests that work with the back button instead and leave full control up to the user. But, if a feature request for popups becomes popular we can certainly implement it anyways.
