Events Calendar Search and Recurring Events

(I’m hoping this is an easy one!)

I’ve checked other threads and there has been no suitable answer- I have disabled the wordpress search bar so users must use only the one located in the Events Calendar search bar and when they do a search for an event they get every single instance (plus a few more, it seems!). It’s very confusing for customers as they are unsure which is the correct one (all will lead to a booking page, so at least that’s not an issue!)….I have, of course, selected ‘show only one instance’ (in list view) on the events calendar settings but what I am asking about is not the same thing.

I got around my issue by purchasing your filter bar plugin (thank you!) and removing any wordpress search bars (should have done that from the start- duh!)- that said, as you can see from my homepage (and other event pages), I have it set to display horizontally with few additional fields- just category and location.

The drop down menu settings are not set wide enough to accommodate the venue or category names. Can you advise of the css to change these settings please?
