Events Calendar RSS Feed Not Validating

Hi there,

I’m using The Events Calendar Pro and Community Events. My WordPress install and all plugins are up to date.

For some reason, my Events Calendar RSS feed isn’t validating. The feed is there, however, all feed validators that I’ve used say the document isn’t well formed and thus, doesn’t validate. Most parsers aren’t able to process it..

Checked via this validator (but the results are the same in all validators I’ve used):

According to feed validator, the first three lines are blank which I believe is causing the issue. It could be something else though..

Here’s what I’m seeing:

3. <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><rss version=”2.0″
4. xmlns:content=”http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/&#8221;
5. xmlns:wfw=”http://wellformedweb.org/CommentAPI/&#8221;

Could someone please shed some light on this? I need fix this as soon as possible..

I worked through this last night. I did have a problem, but it certainly wasn’t The Events Calendar related.. 😉

Removed some spaces from my theme functions and my RSS validated – with one exception. I’ll create a new ticket for that after I look it over a bit.
