    I have followed the themers guide in order to make changes to the default template (which I have copied to MY-THEME/tribe-events/), but these changes don’t take effect. I have been able to make changes and call a sidebar in singular and view templates through my child theme, but I need to be able to call a sidebar in the default template.

    I have ruled out a theme conflict and I’m a little stuck for ideas.
