Events Calendar Pro will not update on my staging server

I see this message Sorry, this key is out of installs
there is also a link “why am I seeing this message” which leads me to a page New User Primer – which merely tells me that the license key is required for updates – not actually very helpful

the events calendar is at version 3.10.1 but events calendar pro is stuck at 3.8. 1
the events calendar no longer works and a blank page is displayed
i addition i am seeing lots of notices about deprecated file in the php error log – I have yet to read the article about fixing that but i will

my license key is still valid and does not expire until november

as a result of the upgrade process the events calendar on the staging server is broken /half upgraded ( the live server still has the old plugins in place )

I could therefore update that version of the plugin but I need to be able to test this upgrade on the staging server first as it is inevitable that the events calendar install will need adjusting to fix templates and so on

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to currently have a single license used for both a live and testing environment. For testing, you could download the latest version of the plugin from your account here and upload it directly to your staging environment.

Alternatively, depending on how your staging site gets deployed to your live environment, you could switch the license to the staging environment and have all automatic updates handled there. Then you could just deploy directly from the staging environment to the live environment.

Thank you for your help Josh .
I am downloading the latest events pro plugin from my account here right now.
That should let me at least get events calendar and the pro-addon at the same version number, then they might play nicely together
