Mike
GuestWhat are differences between the two products? I’ve looked at Q&A that comes close to answering the question but I’ve seen nothing that clearly distinguishes the 2 products.
Are the they separate “plug-ins?”
Will a user lose any features of Events Calendar Pro by choosing the Community Events?
From what I can tell, examining several websites that are utilizing Events Calendar Pro, I like the various display options especially when clicking through a funnel from a calendar display on a home page to a more specific event page and even a side bar widget.
My http://www.sarasotalifestyle.com website under development could benefit from a community driven calendar as well as events that I enter into the calendar, especially when I moderate.
I’m anxious to see the differences b/t the 2 products and if/which features exist in one but not in the other.
Thank you,

MemberHi Mike
The Events Calendar is our free plugin that is needed to run most of our other plugins.
Events Calendar Pro is a plugin that allows for recurring events, shortcodes, and more views on the events page.
Community Events is also it’s own plugin that allows people to submit events. It will allow you to moderate if the submitted events are published or listed for draft mode.
Does this answer your question? Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

GuestI appreciate your reply, Courtney, and apologize for not being clearer. I understand the 2 products based on what you’ve offered.
I know the pro version of the calendar.
What I don’t know is the difference(s) b/t the 2 products. If I purchase the community events product, what will I NOT see that’s built into the Events Calendar Pro?
It would be nice to hear the Community Events product offers everything that the Events Calendar Pro offers with the added benefit of allowing visitors (w/ or w/o moderation) to enter events, either single or recurring events.
This is what I’m hoping to hear.
If not, I’d like to know the differences b/t the 2 products. It would be nice if a comparison chart existed on this website for people like me to see clearly the differences.
Thank you,

MemberHi Mike
If using Community Events alone, you wouldn’t have recurring events, the various views that the pro calendar has (like photo, map, etc)., or the ability to use shortcodes.
Events Calendar Pro without Community Events would not allow for others to submit events.
Does that help more?
Thanks

GuestThank you, Courtney. This helps. One last item to confirm: these 2 products are individual and cannot be used together. Correct? A customer chooses one or the other.

MemberYou can absolutely use both together. As an example, we are using all of our events plugins combined on http://wpshindig.com/events.
I hope that helps.
Thanks

GuestGreat! Community Events integrates into Event Calendar Pro in such a way that the user/visitor sees only the “Add Your Event” tab. Correct? Are 2 different backoffices required for each?
Thank you.

MemberHey Mike
Take a look at our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/events/. At the top in our navigation bar, you can see “add your event” which links to http://wpshindig.com/events/community/add. You can choose to make people register before submitting, or not.
You’d need to add something somewhere to your site asking users to submit an event, or provide them with the link for submitting it.
Does that make sense?
Thanks
