Events Calendar PRO Map View: sorting by distance

Hi,

By default, the Map View (when no “Near” address is provided) displays events in date order, which is fine. However, if a “Near” address is provided, the list of events doesn’t change to distance order like I would expect. Rather it stays as date order.

Is there a way to switch the event list to distance order if a “Near” address is provided?

Hey @Sarah,

There’s unfortunately not a filter in Events Calendar Pro like this at this time 🙁

The only date-related filter in our plugins is the “Distance” filter included in our premium Filter Bar add-on as shown in the following screenshot:

Even that is not quite you’re asking for though, unfortunately, but just wanted to share the limited range of date filters we do have.

We already have the Filter Bar, but that also doesn’t sort by distance if you use the filter. Can this be considered a feature request then, perhaps?

Thanks for your patience with my delayed reply here over the holidays – yes, if you need distance-filtering that works in a way other than what’s already in the plugin, then that’s technically a feature request.

We appreciate the feedback! This is not the sort of thing that we can turn around and implement in one release, but stay tuned to plugin updates and always read the “changelogs” in their release notes to see what new things are included in the update.
