ParticipantHaven’t seen this in my searches…
I set up a recurring event to happen at specific time, one day a week. The calendar shows that event every day of the week until the end of the event. I can change to reoccur, say, monthly, yearly, it all lists as daily. Thoughts?

MemberThanks for clarifying.
So something you need to be aware of is that if an event spans many days it will show up for each of those days within the calendar grid.
If it also recurs, then the same process repeats for every instance (bearing in mind that each instance spans a number of days).
Example: let’s say you have an event that takes place over 30 days beginning July 1. Within the calendar/gridview you will see an entry for every one of those 30 days. If it also recurs every week for 4 weeks then, by the time we get to July 24, we are going to see 4 events of the same name in a single day.
This isn’t an error – it’s how it is designed to work – and (although the dates and recurrence pattern may be slightly different in your specific case) that is, I think, what we are basically looking at here.
So the answer really depends on whether this is a true reflection of your events or if you have made a mistake when creating them: does each event truly span a month or more? Or are they actually 1 day or even 1 week in length – but recur every week for a number of months? If so you would need to adjust the end date for the affected events.
I hope that makes sense but I appreciate it can be a slightly confusing area – so don’t hesitate to let me know if you need further clarification.

MemberRight, but the only event I can see starting on the date you specified and running between those times has (and you can see this if you hover over it on month view) an end date more than a month after the start date.
Based on what you are describing, you should make the end date the same as the start date – because each event runs only for 1 day.
The end of the recurrence pattern, however, can be in the future.
Does that clarify things? If you want to share a screenshot you can do so using droplr.com or a similar service – or just upload it to your WordPress site and share the link, again via a private message if you prefer.
Thanks!
