ParticipantThe elements in all of my events pro calendar pages are crunched together. I am using the 2014 child theme. I tried my 2012 child theme, and the calendar’s page elements display fine. I used the “full width page view” as it is the only template that views without offsetting the calendar. I also looked for the 2014 helper css as suggested previously, but only found the following (I must be missing some css somewhere, but cannot locate it in the files):
.tribe-theme-parent-twentythirteen #secondary div.tribe-countdown-number, .tribe-theme-parent-twentyfourteen #primary-sidebar div.tribe-countdown-number, .tribe-theme-parent-twentyfourteen #footer-sidebar div.tribe-countdown-number {
color:#fff;
text-shadow:1px 1px #000;
}
.tribe-theme-parent-twentythirteen #secondary span.tribe-countdown-under {
color:#fff;
}.tribe-theme-parent-twentyfourteen #primary-sidebar div.tribe-countdown-number {
font-size:24px;
}Below is a link to my site. Also, a portion of the drop-down menu is falling behind the “View As” box in the calendar view. Thank you.

Participantinkmouse2,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. With the 2014 theme, I’ve found that the ‘Default Events Template’ has the most aesthetically pleasing look (screenshot). Have you tried going to ‘Events->Settings->Display’ and changing the ‘Events Template’ option to that?That should hopefully fix your dropdown issue as well, but let me know if you’re still having issues after making that change. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantHi Casey,
I tried using the default Events template, but that gives me the offset issue with my events. Here is what I get when I use that template:July 8, 2014 at 6:23 am #309459Casey
Participantinkmouse2,
That’s definitely strange, because I’m not seeing that when I have 2014 activated in my test environment (screenshot). Can you visit the Permalink Settings page and change your permalinks to something other than the default and hit update? Give that a try and let me know if that helps things. Thanks! 🙂-Casey-

ParticipantChanged the Permalink settings and still the same issue. Could it be something with my child theme?

ParticipantPossibly. Can you try temporarily reverting to the default 2013 theme to see if this issue persists? That will helps us narrow it down a bit before troubleshooting further. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantI reverted back to the 2013 using the child theme, and it works fine. It also works fine in 2012 using a child theme. I switched it to the 2014 theme without using the child theme, and everything displays correctly. So, I’m guessing it has something to do my child theme.

ParticipantStacey,
Thanks for confirming that your child theme is definitely causing the issue. As such, we unfortunately won’t be able to offer much more help here, but I’d be happy to help with any other questions you might have about how the plugin works, as you track down the issue.Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantSo, a child theme cannot be used with calendar pro and 2014 theme? The only thing contained in my child theme CSS are color changes. Even when I try an empty child theme I get the same results.

ParticipantStacey,
That’s definitely bizarre that this is occurring with a blank child theme. I’m going to create a ticket for one of our developers to investigate further, and I’ll let you know as soon as I have a response from them. Please stand by.Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantStacey,
After investigating this further, I am definitely noticing issues with a blank 2014 child theme in conjunction with the ‘Default Events Template’. Here’s what I’m seeing: http://grab.by/ywGoWhen I use the ‘Default Page Template,’ things seem to display much better (screenshot), but we’ll definitely work on our end to get the ‘Default Events Template’ working with standard child themes for a future release.
In the mean time, I would suggest trying the ‘Default Page Template’ to see if that fixes the layout issues you’re experiencing here.
Give that a shot and let me know what you discover. Thanks! 🙂
