GuestHello,
My client currently uses WooCommerce to arrange course events for junior doctors. They can see the orders, coupon usage, sales reports on a pretty graph and so on, all from the WooCommerce menu items.
How would this work with Events Calendar Pro / Event Ticket Plus? Does the above sales data get passed to WooCommerce when purchasing an event ticket, or does Woo simply take the payment?
If course events were previously entered into WooCommerce as Products but are now entered as Events, would it still be possible to see all the sales data in WooCommerce?
Hope you can help 🙂
Kind regards,
Paul.

ParticipantHowdy Paul,
Good question. It sounds like Event Tickets Plus will actually be a nice drop-in for your setup. What does is actually pretty simple. When you add a ticket to an event with Event Tickets Plus, the plugin generates adds a new virtual/downloadable product to the WooCommerce store. When a customer visits the event page, there is a section for adding that ticket/product to their cart. Once added to their cart everything is handled by WooCommerce, because tickets are just another product in the store. Reports, payment, sales data, everything is native to WooCommerce. So if you already have a reporting solution in Woo that you’re happy with, it should support Event Tickets Plus too. Any tickets sold with our plugin will just be new sales data alongside your old, along with any other products you still sell via Woo.
Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

GuestHi Brook,
Thanks for your reply.
Besides Event Tickets Plus, my client would also need Events Calendar Pro for the Recurring Events functionality…
I am currently assessing the freebie versions of Events Calendar and Event Tickets and although I know there is less functionality with the freebies, I was having a hard time trying to figure out how (or if) sales data would get passed over to WooCommerce for scrutiny.
In-between my post and your’s, I stumbled across one of your screenshots:

which obviously confirms some kind of interaction between the plugins.Your clear explanation further confirms this and now that I understand how creating a ticket also creates a virtual product within Woo, it all now comes together and makes perfect sense :o)
Thanks again for your reply,
Paul.
