    Hi,

Ever since the most recent update to the Events Calendar PRO version 4.3.1 and Events Calendar 4.3.1.1, my website will crash when activating the PRO version (normal free one works fine alone), and causes a white page with the following error to pop up:

Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /var/www/vhosts/spartans.com.au/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/functions/template-tags/venue.php on line 97

Is there a way to fix it and continue using it without downgrading as it did work perfectly before the update (issue started on Friday when I updated Events Calendar PRO).

The theme I’m using is the Grow Pro theme by ThinkUpThemes if that helps, no idea as to why it no longer works (there hasn’t been an update to the theme in last fortnight so shouldn’t be anything on that end).

Hope that is enough info, and that you’re able to fix the problem!

    Hi Daniel,

Welcome to our forums, I’m happy to help out this evening!

We fixed this issue in our latest release. If you delete the current version of PRO (looks like you have 4.3 installed), and download the new one (4.3.1.1) from your account on theeventscalendar.com, and install that, the issue should resolve. 🙂

Let me know how this goes, & if you need anything else!

    Thanks,

    Shelby 🙂
