GuestHello,
I’d be really gratefull if someone could let me know which theeventscalendar.com’s plugins are right for the project I’m starting.
I guess EVENTS CALENDAR PRO and EVENT TICKETS PLUS together could be enough for what I want to achieve but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Here’s my scenario:
a customer of mine would like to sell through WooCommerce:
– (his) books (he’s a technical writer) -> simple products (no problems);
– offline courses;Courses take place in two classrooms (2 teachers) which can host a maximum of 20 students each;
Courses are recurring/date based: given “Course A – from 10th to 15th january” a student may opt-in for that date or may choose the same “Course A – from 20th to 25th january” for example.
Courses dates may overlap.Courses should be listed:
– as it normally happens for products inside the shop (categories and relavant courses)
– as a calendar, from which the studend may click on to go to the single course/product page/event page and use the “Add to cart” functionality.Can theeventscalendar.com’s plugins (EVENTS CALENDAR PRO and EVENT TICKETS PLU) be used for the above purpose?

KeymasterHello Luca,
Hey, thanks for reaching out to us with your questions. Let me answer them for you to help you decide whether our solution would be the best for your project.
In general EC Pro and ET+ should be able to do what you need, but you need to consider the following limitation: although ET+ supports creating tickets for events, and as many tickets as you want, but it doesn’t support tickets for recurring events.
To translate that :), you can create a ticket for a recurring event, but that will be the same ticket for all recurrences, there is no distinction.
What you still can do: you can set up an extra meta field (attendee meta) for the ticket and use radio buttons or a dropdown list with the event dates (needs to be filled manually), and make the buyer choose one. Here’s a screenshot on how that approx. would look like: https://cloudup.com/cHifJNyZEx2
Courses should be listed:
β as it normally happens for products inside the shop (categories and relavant courses)This is possible with a bit of tweaking. Here’s an article that should help you with it:
β as a calendar, from which the studend may click on to go to the single course/product page/event page and use the βAdd to cartβ functionality.
This is a core functionality, so you’ll have this with ET+. π
So it is possible to do what you want with a bit of limitation and a bit of tweaking. Also, we have a list of developers who would be able to help you out with customization and tweaking if you need the extra help.
And, although I’m not too familiar with it, you should take a look at Sensei, a plugin from the WooCommerce guys that is offering something similar that what you are looking for.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have more, don’t hold yourself back. π I’d be happy to answer them for you to the best of my knowledge. π
Cheers,
