Events Calendar Only Show Certain Categories

I’m wanting my events calendar to only show certain categories. I followed the article titled, “Events Calendar PRO Widget Shortcodes Overview” and I am using the following shortcode.

[tribe_events categories=”elementary, school”]

But the calendar is populating with all of the events and just not those categories.

What am I needing to do differently in the shortcode?

This functionality isn’t currently available.

Oh, my mistake.

Actually, the Category shortcode argument was released as part of version 4.3.3 earlier this month.

A shortcode example is available at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/#common

However, it doesn’t currently support multiple categories, and you need to use the Events Category’s slug, not the ID or the name.

You could request this as a new feature at our plugins’ UserVoice page.

This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
