Events Calendar Pro v4.4.18
Events Calendar v4.62
Events Calendar Category Colors v4.6.8
Events Calendar Shortcode 1.7When you pull up the site home page (that has the Events Calendar on it), there is a spinning circle that just spins perpetually. The calendar comes up for Nov 2017 and shows the next few events, correctly. However, if you click on the Previous or Next arrows on the calendar, or on a specific calendar day, you are just taken back to that main page.
http://suncityanthemhikingclub.comHovering over the previous/next arrows, shows the link to be
suncityanthemhikingclub.com/#Troubleshooting tried:
1. Reverted to Twenty-Sixteen theme. No change
2. Deactivated all plug-ins except the Event Calendar ones, No Change
3. Turned on debuging.
Under Depreciated, I see the following:wp-includes/functions.php:3818 - Template overrides should be moved to the correct subdirectory: widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php is deprecated since version 3.2! Use pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php instead. require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-includes/template-loader.php'), include('/themes/Minamaze_Pro/page.php'), get_template_part, locate_template, load_template, require('/themes/Minamaze_Pro/content-page.php'), the_content, apply_filters('the_content'), WP_Hook->apply_filters, call_user_func_array, SiteOrigin_Panels->generate_post_content, SiteOrigin_Panels_Renderer->render, SiteOrigin_Panels_Renderer->render_row, SiteOrigin_Panels_Renderer->render_cell, SiteOrigin_Panels_Renderer->render_widget, SiteOrigin_Panels_Renderer->the_widget, Tribe__Events__Pro__Mini_Calendar_Widget->widget, Tribe__Events__Pro__Mini_Calendar->do_calendar, tribe_get_template_part, Tribe__Events__Templates::getTemplateHierarchy, _deprecated_function, do_action('deprecated_function_run')I’m not sure exactly what this is telling me to fix.?
4. Debug, under Javascript, I see the following:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token < http://suncityanthemhikingclub.com/wp-content/themes/Minamaze_Pro-child/?ver=4.8.3 line 1November 6, 2017 at 9:16 am #1376255scamrcalendar
ParticipantI have updated my theme (Minimaze Pro) and the above errors are now gone.
Unfortunately, the problem still persists. The mini-calendar widget still doesn’t work. Clicking on the next >>, previous << or any date just takes one back to the main website page (where the widget resides). It should move to next/prev month, or pull up the specific day view of the calendar.
For some reason, the URL that one should be taken to when clicking on the PREVIOUS MONTH <<, the NEXT MONTH >>, or a specific date, say the 8th, all return a URL of
suncityanthemhikingclub.com/#. The # should have the URL info for each specific page.November 7, 2017 at 4:24 am #1376776Andras
KeymasterHello Kathleen,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear about your issues. Let me help you solve this one.
I checked your site and I see the spinner. In the console I see an error message that says there is an error with one of the css files in your theme. (screenshot)
You say:
Reverted to Twenty-Sixteen theme. No change
Deactivated all plug-ins except the Event Calendar ones, No ChangeDid you try to do the 2 at the same time? I’m sorry, this is not clear at the moment.
Please also note that Events Calendar Category Colors v4.6.8 and Events Calendar Shortcode 1.7 are not developed by us. Please also deactivate those when testing and leave only The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro active.
Reg this:
Template overrides should be moved to the correct subdirectory: widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php is deprecated since version 3.2! Use pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php instead. This likely means that you have a ‘mini-calendar-widget.php’ file under:
wp-content/themes/[your-active-theme]/tribe-events/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php
This location for the widget has been changed. Please move this file to:
wp-content/themes/[your-active-theme]/tribe-events/pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php
4. Debug, under Javascript, I see the following:
This has something to do with your theme. Please turn to the theme developers with this issue if it persists.
The url suncityanthemhikingclub.com/#
The url is correct as it is. When clicked an ajax action is taken in the background so the new page of the mini calendar loads without reloading the whole page.
You say:
I have updated my theme (Minimaze Pro) and the above errors are now gone.
I still see some of the errors. Do you maybe have a test site where we can test this?
Cheers,

ParticipantAndras,
Thank you so much for your help. I was using a Page Builder to create some of the pages. I know the original page had the widget there. However, the Page Builder was updated and it appears to have expanded the code out. As soon as I removed the Page Builder and put back the mini widget – all is happy again.
This was a good lesson for me to really think about all the areas a plug-in impacts, before upgrading it.
Again – many thanks!
Cheers
