events calendar linked to participants profile

Hi!

I am looking for the best option for my client, a charity organisation, to create this:

– An Event calendar to showcase all the charity events

Have all the details about events
Send confirmation emails after registration
See sponsors, maps etc.
(I know, that is what you provide already)

BUT ADDING THIS:
Registration platform for PARTICIPANTS (not attendees)

Registration Platform should work like a ‘social’ platform with Participant profile, where people can donate to this specific participant (via donation button), share his/her profile (so unique URL or code) and show the participants’ raised money ladder.

It would be a bit like Movember website where people can have a unique participant profile, and the Charity can add an event. For example: A marathon event, and people can register to it as participants (runners) and collect/raise money personally on the charity’s website. Like cause funding.

Could any of your features help create this?

The Events Calendar (and it’s associated plugins) are extremely flexible and they’d make a solid foundation for the sort of end-solution you are proposing.

That said, I do feel you’d need to do some custom coding to realize your ideas, here, as we don’t have anything that would quite slot in and deliver what you need “out of the box”.

We do have a ton of resources in the way of tutorials, existing forum content and so on to guide you through the customization process, though 🙂
