Events calendar in neews feed

I was wondering how I can get my events to pop up in the news feed on my main page.
I want to have them under a category “kalender”, but I cant find anywhere to get them in there…

There should also be a “photo view” list in events calendar pro?
Can´t find this…

Hey Monica,

Welcome to the PRO support forums 🙂

If you check under Events > Settings > General, you should see the ‘Include events in main blog loop‘ option (see screenshot below). Try checking that and see if your events display in your news feed. I believe you’ll need another plugin to mesh the event categories and your WordPress post categories.

To enable Photo view, visit Events > Settings > Display and make sure the ‘Photo’ checkbox is checked (see screenshot below).

I have already done as you said, but what do I do next? It´s still not working…

In the calendar I get up photo view, but i would like to have the newest post from my calendar to pop up in the news feed of my main page on my site.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you’d like the events to show up in your news feed based on their post date rather than the event start date? If so, we have a snippet which can be added to your theme’s functions.php file that will do just that. Try it out and let me know how it goes.

If I’m misunderstanding you, my apologies! If that’s the case, feel free to respond in greater detail and provide screenshots if possible. Thanks for the response and take care.

Im sorry if Im hard to understand.. hehe.. But I just want the post in my calendar to show up in the news feed with all my other “regular”posts… Now, they are just showing in the widget in “mini calendar” on my sidebar. I would like them to show in the homepage main posts.. So that every time I put something new in the calendar, they pop up in the main post loop of the page -with images…

Hi Monica,

Thank you for the response. We don’t have a setting in PRO which allows you to display events on your homepage. You could check out our list of shortcodes for our widgets that can display events.

They do not include a feature image, but our Horizontal list widget can get you going in the right direction. To avoid losing customizations, refer to our Themer’s Guide 🙂
