If I buy the Community Events Add On do I also have to pay for the Events Calendar Pro?

Community Events and Events Calendar Pro are indeed sold separately, so if you want both you have to buy both separately.

But if you are asking if Events Calendar Pro is a requirement for Community Events, no, it is not! 😀 All you need to use Community Events is the core plugin, which is free: The Events Calendar.
