Events are spamming calendar multiple times

On our calendar everything is working as expected until Oct 09 2014 – after that date there are a few events that are broken:
1. The link to the event is no longer displayed correctly/working
2. They are multiplied up to 10 times on the same day, and of course show up in the events list in the WP dashboard. I can delete them, but it is too many to do manually. (think 2500)

How can I batch delete these items?
Can I force future event calculation from recurrence for all my events to maybe fix this?

No problem – I moved it across (the topic URL should remain the same, however).

Do you know if this happened after a recent update? If so, might the cleanup plugin linked to from this blog post help?

That did the job! (almost). The rest I deleted by hand.
