Events are not in order by Date

My events are in the order by the day they the events were created like a blog post and not by the date of the events. So if I create an event that occurs in 2015, it will show up on top.

I’ve reverted our theme to 2011 and it was fixed and showing in the correct order. Where do I go in my theme to fix this issue?

It looks like you are using Carrington as your theme which I understand is often just the base for custom themes: are you the theme author/are you in contact with the theme author and would it be possible to determine if the issue arises with the Carrington base theme itself, or if it is due to some custom code added on top?
