GuestHi,
I have a client request to take their eventbrite custom API feed and integration non-eventbrite events into it that community member can submit from their wordpress site. I have used your community submission forms on other sites before but I am wondering about Eventbrite integration. This particular client needs pretty seamless and dynamic integration and I was unsure looking at the Events Aggregator if it would work with Eventbrite. It seems like an ideal solution. Here’s what I would like it to do, can you tell me if the Events Aggregator combined with the Community plugin would work?
- Automatically import events from single Eventbrite account (presumably via API but any means is fine)
- Allow community submission to the same calendar
- Wishlist: if the events are from Eventbrite just link out to the Eventbrite landing page (no single view)

MemberHi Hannah,
Thanks so much for reaching out! I’m really stoked to hear you’re looking forward to Event Aggregator — we are too and can’t wait for it to come out while we put the finishing touches on. 🙂
I am sorry to say, however, that Eventbrite will not be an import option in there. It’s something we really wanted to do right out of the gate, but is tougher to accomplish that we expected.
That said, we do have Eventbrite Tickets, which will certainly sync events between The Events Calendar and Eventbrite.com.
And, yes, if you have Community Events in addition to either Event Aggregator or Eventbrite Tickets (or both!), then you can also accept event submissions from folks to the same calendar. 🙂
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know!
Cheers,

GuestThat does answer my question. Unfortunately the client needs the events to be automatically imported from eventbrite (similar to how they are set-up now by pulling all the events and outputting from the API) and don’t want to copy/paste the ID from the URL to wordpress. I don’t think we’ll be able to use The Events Calendar as a solution in this particular case but I’ll keep it in mine for later use on other projects. You’re our preferred event plugin for WP.
Thank you for the quick response. I wasn’t expecting to get an answer to quickly.
