Is there a way to insert a video for the event description instead of just a picture?
August 29, 2016 at 12:31 pm #1157221Jeff SeraniMemberHi Chris
Excellent question! To help, there is a featured image you are able to attach to any event you publish. To go further, you are able to embed a video within the content editor within the content post (e.g. new event).
Here is a quick example of a video embed in action: https://cloudup.com/c5h-lLjaYaR

August 29, 2016 at 12:34 pm #1157227ChrisGuestHow do I embed a video or submit video while submitting an event through Community Events form
August 29, 2016 at 12:52 pm #1157235Jeff SeraniMemberHi Chris
This is actually the same concept as if you were creating the video in the dashboard. You simply copy and paste your embed code (e.g. from YouTube) into the content editor in that event creator form.
So for example, anyone submitting an event to your site, users can simply paste in the YouTube URL into the content editor. Once that event is published, the video will be displayed within the event post.
Does this help clarify things a bit more? Any other questions I can help you with, feel free to let me know!
Cheers!

August 30, 2016 at 9:16 am #1157597ChrisGuestDuring RSVP it shows Who’s attending. Are you able to show pictures of the people attending under it?
August 30, 2016 at 11:45 am #1157763Jeff SeraniMemberHi Chris
It sounds like you’re looking at our Event Tickets add-on or our Events Tickets Plus add-on. Is it possible to show who is attending the events by using our Events Tickets and our Events Tickets Plus. Events Tickets Plus will give you the added functionality of who’s attending.
Here is a basic screen shot of what is looks like when attendees are showing when this is enabled within Event Tickets Plus. You can review this shot here.
The way the “Who’s Attending” feature works with images is that these images are pulled from Gravatar. If your attendees in fact have an image linked to their email address using the free Gravatar service and they use that email address for RSVPing – that image will then be displayed within that section.
Does this help answer your question? For your reference, we have a wealth of information on Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus in our knowledgebase.
Have a great day!
