ParticipantSo on the event pages we are supposed to type in the event website address in the backend of wordpress. When we do this and save the page the published page comes up with code like this:
Instead of the active link Visit Website pointing to mcleanllc.com.
Here is a link to the page page in question. http://mcleanllc.com/event/begin-with-the-end-in-mind-key-value-drivers-for-your-gov-con-companys-strategic-growth-and-development-in-2016-and-2017/
I’ve attached as images what I’m seeing.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Eric

ParticipantSorry it looks like I attached the wrong file. Attached is the backend file. Also, the chat keeps turning my code examples into an active link so I’m putting it here without the <a or <a/

MemberHey Eric,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you to solve it!
As I can see from here, your link is being generated incorrectly: there are some extra elements associated with your link like “” and extra html < a > tags.
The expected output should be something like this.
Please make sure that you don’t have a template override modifying your Event URL at:
[your-theme]/tribe-events/modules/meta/details.php
Also, can you please Clear/Purge your site’s cache and deactivate the caching plugin after that? Also, clear your browser cache and let me know if the problem is solved after that.
If the Event URL works as expected once your caching plugin is disabled, you’ll know that concatenation (or a similar compression method) is to blame.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the mean time and I’ll be happy to assist!
Best regards,
Patricia
