ParticipantHi there,
We have had problems in the past uploading a cvs file with multiple events. It won’t upload all of the events in the document. I was told that special characters were causing the problem, such as curly quotes, and to “convert that csv file to UTF8 encoding. Should be as easy as opening it with Notepad (on Windows) and when doing a Save as… you set the encoding to UTF8 instead of ANSI.”We’ve tried this and it still is not uploading all of the events. I will respond in a separate comment with the file attachment and a list of a few of the events that we noticed weren’t uploaded.
Thank you for your help –

ParticipantHi Victor,
My name is Victor Carno and I upload the CSV files for Picket Fence Media’s Event calendars. I ready your e-mail and followed all the steps in your URL. I also deleted all the empty rows and double checked to make sure all of the events were listed, and I’m still not having any luck.
I attached the CSV file I tried uploading, however it won’t let me attach the txt file.
Thanks,

MemberHi Victor!
Thanks for coming back with the CSV file.
I managed to import the events from the CSV file you shared. I could import the events Adult coloring club and mission art walk, but there are no records in the CSV for Surfing Santa or Holiday Surfboard Auction events.
The CSV seems to be fine in general, but I would recommend adjusting the following:
- Always establish an End Date and Time, even if it is the same as the start date/time.
- Try changing the time format to preferably use the ISO 8601 format HH:MM:SS (ex. 23:59:59)
Are you still having problems importing specific events from that CSV file? If so, please try the adjustments I mention and see if any difference.
If you still experience issues with a particular event, please let me know which one and what is the exact problem you have.
Thanks,
