Event title missing on first listing of Events page

The event title doesn’t show on the first listing on our Events page. The title starts appearing on the first listing after clicking “Next Events” or “Previous Events”. I’ve tried adding and removing events, but title still won’t appear for whichever event is listed first. Changing themes and deactivating plugins doesn’t fix the problem. Changing the calendar display doesn’t fix problem either. When inspecting the code, the html element that holds the title is present but text is missing.
