ParticipantRecently we have had three events that displayed the times as 1:30pm – 4:00pm instead of the correct times. In editing the event, the times are correct, but when displayed in calendar they are incorrect. The only way I found to change it was to delete the events (trash) and re-enter them new. The plug-ins for Event Calendar and Event Calendar Pro are up-to-date. Suggestions, please, to fix this so it doesn’t keep happening. Thanks.

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue with the times!
Did you happen to make any changes or updates prior to the times displaying incorrectly? Have you made any changes to your timezone settings recently? Is this happening with recurring events or single events?
If there is currently an event that this is happening with on your site, can you please send me a screenshot of the time settings for that event along with a link to the event on the front end?
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHi Jennifer,
Thanks for replying. To answer your questions:
1. No, I made no changes or updates prior to the problem. The first
time the problem happened, I updated in WordPress the plugins Event Calendar
and Event Calendar Pro. That fixed the problem. However, it happened again
this week with 2 events – one a single event, another a recurring event.
There were no updates to do, so I had to delete the events entirely and
re-put them into the Calendar.2. No changes to timezone settings that I can remember.
3. I hope there is no event now that has the time problem, but if I
find one I can send you a screenshot. However, I will also have to fix it or
re-do it right away so as to keep visitors happy with correct information,
but I could send you a link too. If this helps, here is a link to the event
that was showing 1:30-4:00pm for viewers but in the backend in the calendarJuly 30, 2018 at 9:29 am #1585942Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
Unfortunately the link that you sent did not come through, but if you do see this happen again, please do send the link and screenshot! I would also be interested in how these events were created – did you create them manually or through an import?
If you do see this happen again, the next step would be to run through the instructions outlined here to check for any conflicts that might be occurring with your theme or another plugin. Please make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled during testing and copy/paste any errors that you see into your reply. I would recommend doing this in a staging environment so that it does not impact your users – if you don’t have a staging site already, the free Duplicator plugin can help you get one set up.
Thanks,
Jennifer
