I have a google calendar that events pro looks at once an hour for updates. once to twice a week I have an event shift from the normal 7pm time to 11pm. Sadly its not a regular occurrence so its tough for me to nail down

Would you be able to offer some insight?

    Hi there,

Thanks for emailing support. Does the event change timezones or is it in the same location? Can you send me the link to the event?

    Thanks,
    Brendan

I have just been deleting the incorrect events.

There is no timezone change and I am using the site timezone rather than event timezone. When another event goes wonky I will forward the url.

We are an active movie theatre operating daily so I try and keep events accurate

After a few days of letting things sit it looks like the events are shifting on a daily basis. Wondering if you could provide any insight into this?

    Hi there,

Are you able to send me the ics file of the events so I can take a look?

    Thanks,
    Brendan

    Hi there,

Thanks for the ics file. When I look at the file in a validator there are some errors with the event start date. In your google calendar, do you have a timezone selected there as well? Please double check this and ensure its correct.

    Thanks,
    Brendan

    Hi there,

It helps to have the timezone especially when importing, otherwise discrepancies may occur. When you add a timezone, does it resolve the issue?

    Thanks,
    Brendan

I have added timezones to all future events and still one shifted. I have changed my scheduled import to “on demand” as I have a suspicion when the hourly import runs it causes the shift. I would love to have a scheduled import and not have to manually sync but for now I will see how this works.

Still no thoughts as to why events shift?

Its hard to say how its shifting, but importer is just reading the data that it was given.

See below for the Isle of Dogs event. I took this out of your ics file you sent and it shows the start time of 2300 which is 11pm. So not sure how thats getting mixed up on the Google Calendar end but when our system reads this ics code its 11pm. In the header of the ics file the timezone shows America/New York, is that the timezone you are targeting?
