ParticipantI have made sure the PHP.INI is set to America/New_York and WordPress is set correctly as well. I Have entered the correct time yet when you go to the website to see it, it is displayed wrong. Not always just an hour off. Sometimes several hours. It was fine a few weeks ago, I did not change anything. All of a sudden all of my events are wrong time. Some even jumped to different days. I have had to delete many of them and start over… Please tell me what is wrong.

ParticipantHi,
are your events type post? Because i have the same problem that the site wide timezone is changing the displayed time on the event pages that are posts. If i have normal events the time is displayed correctly.

ParticipantHi, it is not only displaying it incorrect it is also writing the tickets wrong. So the time will fail on the tickets as well.

MemberHi, Stephanie. Thanks for your detailed report. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
I viewed your System Information Report and see that your WordPress General Settings and PHP/Server time zones are both “America/New_York”
We’ve seen this issue when an event was created during Standard Time for an event occurring during Daylight Savings Time, particularly events in a recurrence series where some occur prior to DST changing.
Are you experiencing this 1) only with recurring events, 2) for newly-created events or just ones you created a few weeks ago (prior to DST changing)?

ParticipantHi,
For me it is only posts that have tickets facing this issue. For some reason it takes into consideration the time zone when it was created. I believe because this is only limited to posts it has something to do with showing the post creation day and time in normal posts. And it comes affected when the timezone is changed. i Can change the timezone back but then my sales end in the wrong time.
Thanks

MemberIlkka, thanks for your contributions here. However, we need to handle each customer’s situation individually. Therefore, please create your own separate thread and link back to this one.
Stephanie, please reply to my prior message at your convenience.
Thank you both.

ParticipantCliff,
To answer your question. All of the recurring ones were wrong. I had to delete many of them and re-do them. However, one of the new ones did not display correctly either. For example, the Easter event was set for 9 am and then again at 11 am, but it was displaying on the website for 9am and 3pm.I could not leave them like that for you to see. People were calling… 🙁

MemberAll positive vibes, Ilkka! We just need to do it this way so it’s manageable for all of us.
Stephanie, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
Do you have a staging site we can work on instead of your live site?

ParticipantHi, No harm done. I understand it will get confusing if everybody starts commenting in between.
thanks

ParticipantI understand the idea of a staging site, however, that does not apply to the events I created to reoccur. They were fine for months and all of a sudden they displayed wrong without me doing anything.

MemberThanks, Ilkka.
Stephanie, please make sure you’re on our latest versions (we released updates this week) and see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please record a video (share a link, such as Dropbox or Google Drive) of you reproducing this issue so I can try to reproduce it on my own testing site.
Please also re-share your System Information in a Private Reply.
That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
Thank you.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
