GuestHi, I would like to setup Event Tickets but without ecommerce functionality: the free version, however, won’t allow to set a price for the event, which kind of makes sense without an ecommerce… but, in my particular case, I want to set a price and allow ONLY to RSVP… from the screenshots it seems that you can only RSVP free events: is it possible to RSVP a paid event in either the free or pro version? No ecommerce, just RSVP (for a paid event)?
Thanks.March 31, 2016 at 6:06 am #1096339George
ParticipantHey Romanz,
Thanks for reaching out. What you describe here is unfortunately not possible:
is it possible to RSVP a paid event in either the free or pro version? No ecommerce, just RSVP (for a paid event)?
Events with a cost can have tickets in the Plus version that folks can buy; OR, there can be a no-cost event for which people can RSVP. At this time there is no crossover of this functionality where folks can RSVP for a paid event as you portray it here.
Sorry to disappoint!

GuestHi, I was just wondering why the function to add a price is available on The Events Calendar but disappears when adding the Event Tickets plugin: I understand you might not want to give too many features in the free version but I would me more than glad to upgrade to the Pro version if I can still retain that field… there is no possibility this might be added even in a future version?
Thanks.April 5, 2016 at 3:43 pm #1098665George
ParticipantHey romanz,
That cost field exists in the free version because there is no way to establish the cost of an event.
But when you have Tickets installed along with events, well then the tickets have a price and that is the cost of the event, so adding another cost field is unnecessarily redundant…
…in most cases.
Some folks want both though, so you can do that by adding the snippet mentioned in this knowledgebase article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/use-the-event-cost-field-with-tickets-installed/
Try that out and you’ll have both fields on your site.
Cheers!
