ParticipantI am using The Event Calendar, Event Tickets Plus (4.6.2) , WooCommerce, and the tribe-ext-pdf-tickets extension.
We are emailing pdfs to customers when the Woo order status is completed. All works fine.
The issue I would like help on is the “You have X Tickets for this Event. View your Tickets” message which appears above the meta on the single event page. With the pdf tickets extension, this displays a downloadable ticket for all order statuses, including a failed order. This has caused confusion for users who have access to a ticket when their credit card payment failed (and the Woo order status reflects this).
The system does not email ticket pdfs for orders which are not complete. How can we apply the same rule to displaying a ticket pdf on the event page?

MemberHi Bill!
Thanks for taking your time to report this issue.
I’ve been able to replicate the same in my local installation, so I will create a report for this so it can be addressed in a future release of the PDF extension.
I will set this thread to “Pending fix” and link it to the report so we’ll let you know once a fix is available for you to try.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

ParticipantThanks Victor
I think the piece that needs addressing is the code that displays the ‘View Your Tickets’ on the event page, which occurs whether or not PDF extension is installed. While it’s the attached pdf which is the real problem when
its for an order that has failed to complete, the root cause is in treating a failed order as one that ETPlus should display as one of “Your tickets”. Fix it at the source and the PDF extension won’t need touching.January 10, 2018 at 5:14 am #1422249Victor
MemberHi Bill!
Thanks for following up with this.
That really seems like a way to solve the issue, although the “View Your Tickets” link is also available for RSVP tickets, which don’t have order statuses so I’m not sure how this would integrate with payed tickets, as well as with other orders for that same event.
I will make sure to pass this comment along to the report so it can be taken into account when investigating a fix for this.
We really appreciate your input in this matter 🙂

ParticipantA follow up on the status of the problem with View and Print tickets extension and Event Tickets Plus. The issue is not listed in known issues, has had no updates for 3 months and is still a problem in current versions.
It allows any logged in user to download a paid event ticket which has not been paid for.

MemberHi Bill!
Thanks for following up with this topic.
I’ve just checked the report for this issue and it seems there has been some movement around it. However, we cannot commit to a date for when a fix will be available.
You won’t find the issue listed in the known issues page, because we only post issues for our main plugins there, and not for our extensions.
I will make sure to leave a note in the report to see if we can get thing moving faster.
Do rest assured we’ll let you know once a fix is shipped.

MemberHi. We published an update to PDF Tickets at https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/pdf-tickets/
Version 1.1.0 includes the logic to determine whether or not a link to “PDF Ticket” should be displayed for each attendee.
See the changelog, update to Version 1.1.0, and let us know how it works for you.
Thanks for contributing by sharing your feedback!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
